Alta’s Approach to Investing Alta Ventures Mexico is an early-stage venture
capital fund. Based in Monterrey Mexico we
provide seed, venture and growth capital to
companies targeting high-growth markets. The
Alta team has directly founded startups and
as investors helped launch more than 80 companies.

Through our network of partners entrepreneurs
will gain access to customer introductions,
recruiting key management members as well as
guidance on risk mitigation and growth strategies.
Mexico’s Venture Capital Industry Achieves Lift-off More than 400 people gathered at the
Monterrey Venture Capital Conference
(MVCC) held at the EGADE business school
of the Tec de Monterrey. At the summit
Mexico’s leading entrepreneurs, innovators,
captains of industry, investors,
policymakers and economists joined
together to launch Mexico’s venture
capital industry. Organized by the
Tecnologico de Monterrey, the U.S.
Consulate in Monterrey, and Alta
Ventures Mexico.

Since 1999, the Department of State has used
the ACE to recognize American companies who
are global leaders in corporate social
responsibility. U.S. businesses are nominated
by U.S. ambassadors on every continent.
The E | 100 Launched by Alta Ventures Mexico In conjunction with the MVCC and as part
of its mission to support entrepreneurship
in Mexico, Alta Ventures Mexico announced
the launch of the E|100 program.

In 2010 the E|100 program identified and
recognized the region's top 100 entrepreneurs.
The members of the E|100 were selected by
the community in response to the question,
“Who are the entrepreneurs most likely to
build a great company in the next 2 or 3 years?”
Alta Ventures Closes $70 Million Fund To Invest In Mexican Tech Startups

August 21, 2012  -The LatAm startup scene is really heating up, with venture capital flowing to innovative startups throughout South and Central America. But of all the countries benefitting from the investment, Mexico seems to be hottest, especially since its economy grew even faster than Brazil last year. With all that in mind, Mexican VC firm Alta Ventures just closed on a new, $70 million fund which will be devoted to investing in startups throughout the country.
